KiteSurfDirect has been around since 1999!

KSD was founded by Gabor Stumpf who quickly developed a reputation for quality service and valued added support. Opportunity for a changing of the guard occurred during 2007; the fact that my wife and I have 6-children with virtually all Kiting – made for an easy decision to embrace the business and not just the benefits.

I commenced Kitesurfing in 1999 and I have personally seen and been part of the good, bad and the ugly! In fact when I started the prospects of Kitesurfing was overwhelming – this was back in the days when kites were extremely unstable and would literally fall from the sky then suddenly power up with gusts rendering potentially devastating consequences. Hopefully gone are the days of dodgy kites and dodgy selling approaches!

KSD continues to be supported by a dedicated team that have around since the early days of KSD. We are also encouraged by the fact that our suppliers including BEST, Ocean Rodeo, Litewave and Wind Wings continue to support our endeavours providing great products and incentives that enable us to offer a distinct price advantage.

KSD is about valued added service. Local beach presence is provided by our Team and often a KSD banner flag flys at local beaches. We are committed to fostering a ‘mentor’ relationship for beginners and those at both intermediate and advanced levels.
