Kite surfing is a fantastic sport and we welcome opportunity to introduce you in a safe and speedy manner. We have a number of dedicated and passionate instructors who are available to assist.
Kite surfing is NOT a group sport and teaching should be directed to a one on one basis.
At KSD safety and careful instruction continues past the initial learning. Our commitment continues providing a mentor relationship with kiters throughout the beginning and intermediate stages.
Typically between 2-4 hours is required with careful instruction – initially 2-hours is scheduled which will cover the requisite basics, safety, launching, flying and finally introduction to body drags and basic board skills. The next 2-hour session picks up from body drags and focuses on getting you up and on the water!
We also encourage all beginners to also take opportunity to purchase a trainer or smaller kite to assist you between lessons. KSD can arrange a trainer kite package for you!
Lessons beyond this point vary based on your skill; we have many clients who use our services at periodic intervals on a 1-hour basis to concentrate on finer aspects of their growing skill to ensure a continued ‘correct’ learning curve. It is very easy to learn something wrong and repetition reinforcing the mistakes!
All kite requirements are provided for your instruction – all you need to bring is a wet suit, towel etc!
Cost?
The initial 2-hour lesson – $160
Additional hours at $80
’Instructors are selected representatives of KSD and an integral part of our KSD mentor relationship program’ – we pride our approach and value association with our instructors.
’You’re instructor is offered in good faith’ – KSD will NOT represent the interest or services of an instructor unless KSD has history with the individual and we remain absolutely confident with their expertise and appropriate levels of care!
1. KSD does NOT provide lessons on a commission basis!
2. You are required to pay the instructor direct
3. You’re instructor receives 100% of the fee associated with training you
4. You will arrange future lessons with you’re instructor under his recommendation and guidance
5. We do NOT provide a fee warranty!
If for whatever reason you are not happy or dissatisfied with you’re instructor please email us direct; we will review your concerns and if required arrange another instructor to continue to assist you’re development.
